Technical Systems Analyst
We're partnering with a leading Australian law firm looking to bring on a mid-level Technical Systems Analyst to take ownership of their core matter management platform. A hands-on, technical role working across the back end of the system while partnering with stakeholders firm-wide to turn business needs into practical reporting and system solutions.
The Opportunity
- Act as the primary point of contact for matter management system requests, issues and troubleshooting, primarily across practice management systems and their integrations
- Own the back end of the platform, configuring and rerouting process workflows and delivering system changes as the business needs them
- Support system upgrades, maintenance and release planning, including vendor coordination and UAT
- Gather, analyse and document business requirements across projects, process improvements and client reporting
- Partner with Partners, lawyers and other teams to scope the data they need and build bespoke solutions for complex legal reporting
- Design and build data capture screens, working with internal and external resources to deliver
- Perform data analysis, cleansing and validation to support accurate decision-making
- Write and optimise SQL queries, and present insights through reports, pivot tables and visualisations
- Identify opportunities to improve data management processes and operational effectiveness
What We're Looking For
- Experience supporting legal or professional services systems
- Hands-on experience with Aderant or Elite 3E, or a comparable complex legal practice management system
- Strong technical capability on the back end, comfortable making system and workflow changes rather than front-end support only
- Experience with SQL, SSRS, Power BI or workflow applications
- Track record producing reports and turning around ad-hoc analytical requests
- Clear communicator who can adapt for technical and non-technical audiences
