Senior Finance Business Analyst
We are working with a renowned Australian Financial Services Organisation that is looking for a Finance Business Analyst focusing on the greenfield implementation of Financial Systems & ERP consolidation! You will specifically be focused on the financial modules and play a pivotal role in driving the successful implementation, optimisation, and support of our financial systems.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, translate them into functional specifications, and ensure alignment with Financial System capabilities. Your expertise will be critical in configuring and customising the financial modules to meet the specific needs of our organisation, while also providing ongoing support and training to end-users.
Key Responsibilities: - Gather and analyse business requirements related to financial processes and workflows.
- Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications for financial modules.
- Configure and customise the Finance System to support financial operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, and Financial Reporting.
- Collaborate with Finance and IT teams and external consultants to design, develop, and implement customisations and integrations as needed.
- Conduct thorough testing of configured solutions to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Provide training and support to end-users to maximise system utilisation and efficiency.
- Serve as an SME for the Finance systems financial modules, staying updated on new features and best practices.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the financial systems landscape.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, facilitating communication and ensuring alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on financial modules.
- Experience working with Large Enterprise Finance Systems implementations such as Workday Financial Management, SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics!
- In-depth knowledge of Finance Systems and Finance Operations is required.
- Strong understanding of financial processes and workflows, with previous experience in finance or accounting roles preferred.
- Hands-on experience with configuring and customising financial modules.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
