Join a respected not-for-profit organisation making a meaningful impact in the aged care space. As they enter a new phase of growth, they’re seeking a commercially minded Financial Controller to optimise business performance, take ownership of the finance function, and lead the implementation of a new finance system.
This opportunity offers a strategic senior leadership role focused on driving business optimisation, streamlining financial operations, and providing impactful insights to influence decision-making at the executive level.
The Role: - Offer clear financial strategy and advice to support the CEO and executive team’s decision-making
- Lead a focused finance team, fostering growth and driving improved financial operations
- Manage funding activities end-to-end, including tender submissions, grant applications, contract oversight, and reporting—covering aged care funding such as RAD/DAP and AN-ACC
- Develop and maintain comprehensive budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models to ensure robust financial planning
- Oversee procurement processes and implement cost management strategies to maximise value and control expenses
- Handle financial risk assessments and insurance programs, ensuring all regulatory and compliance standards are met
- Work closely with department heads and managers to provide financial insights that support business objectives

Requirements: - Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business and CA or CPA qualification
- Sig experience in a senior finance role within aged care, healthcare, or the not-for-profit sector
- Strong understanding of aged care funding models (RAD/DAP/Bond, AN-ACC) and compliance framework
- High proficiency in Excel, Word, and accounting systems
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and develop a finance team
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including confident board-level reporting
- Ability to balance day-to-day delivery with long-term planning and project management
