Finance Analyst
We're looking for a Finance Analyst/Project Analyst to join a high-profile and employer of choice within the Sydney market. My is client working on a Finance Transformation project you will be responsible for end-to-end delivery from eliciting requirements, as well as documenting and mapping as-is and to-be processes within the finance framework, focusing on the general ledger and reconciliation suite. This is a contract position for 12 months and offers a hybrid working environment. Great opportunity for candidates on defacto or longer-term visas.
Working directly with the Project Management and Transformation team, you will specifically be focused on the financial modules and play a pivotal role in driving the successful implementation, optimisation, and support of their financial systems.
Responsibilities of the role will include: -
- Analysis of current state of nominated financial system/process/accounting.
-Analyse and map process and data flows.
- Reconciliations of financial transactions between the general ledger and sub ledgers, ensuring consistency and accuracy of data.
- Assist with financial reporting and compliance.
- Define and implement finance process improvements to support implementation initiatives.
- Create work papers associated with any testing including remediation activities.
- Prepare and present periodic reconciliation reports to management, highlighting key findings, issues, and progress on process improvements as required.
- Work closely with impacted stakeholders.

To be considered for this opportunity you must be a hands-on professional, capable of self-starting, driving processes, influencing good decision making, and have a keen eye for detail. You have a solid understanding of financial controls, have proven experience in finance reconciliations, preferably with exposure to general ledger and subledger systems, and internal controls. You will understand how technology flows to support business outcomes. You will have been involved with process improvements or project work previously.
Candidates coming from audit who have worked on a major projects or system implementations, are encouraged to apply for this role.
Exposure to the implementation of SAP, Oracle or a cloud-based system, will be looked at favourably.
