This is a hands-on second level support role in a busy corporate environment. You will be the face of IT for the business, working across desktop, mobile and AV, with real ownership of the tickets you pick up. There are multiple support functions that are collaborative and takes the user experience seriously, from the boardroom down to the desk.
You will work a rotating shift roster covering extended business hours, and take part in a national after hours on call roster.
What you will be doing - Frontline technical support face to face, over the phone and through the service management platform, owning incidents and requests end to end
- Resolving tickets within agreed service levels and keeping users updated along the way
- Managing end user devices, including allocation, asset tracking and lifecycle
- Audio Visual support across meeting rooms and event spaces, setting up and testing gear ahead of time
- Providing live support during meetings and events so nothing falls over on the day
- Working with the infrastructure and wider IT teams on AV solutions and service improvements
What you will bring - Solid experience supporting a Windows desktop environment, covering PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices, remote access and peripherals
- Hands-on Audio Visual support experience in a corporate setting, including meeting room technology, video conferencing platforms, displays, microphones and presentation equipment, and the confidence to support senior stakeholders live in the room
- Working knowledge of VoIP, mobile and internet technologies
- Exposure to network and server systems, including switches, routers and patch panels
- An understanding of ITIL and change management processes
- The ability to explain technical concepts in plain language to non technical people
- A proactive, self starting approach and sound problem solving ability
- Calm under pressure, with the ability to juggle competing priorities
