BI Developer
We're partnering with a leading Australian organisation undergoing a major uplift of its business intelligence and analytics capability. They're seeking an experienced Power BI specialist to design, deliver and enhance reporting solutions that support data-driven decision making across the business, with a growing focus on Microsoft Fabric.
You will be working as part of a high-performing data and technology team, collaborating closely with business stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into scalable Power BI dashboards, reports and data models. You will work with cloud-based data sources across Azure and AWS, leveraging Microsoft Fabric components to support data integration, modelling and analytics, ensuring insights are accurate, reliable and fit for purpose.
You'll also play a key role in improving existing BI assets and driving adoption across the organisation. This role suits someone who enjoys ownership, can manage multiple priorities and thrives in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.
What You'll Be Doing - Design, develop and deploy Power BI dashboards, reports and data models.
- Build and support data solutions using Microsoft Fabric including data integration and semantic models.
- Integrate Power BI with cloud data platforms across Azure and AWS.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver actionable analytics.
- Interpret complex data sets and communicate meaningful insights.
- Support, maintain and enhance existing BI and reporting solutions.
- Manage multiple projects and deliverables concurrently.
- Develop documentation and provide training to support user adoption.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across data and reporting platforms.
What You Bring - Strong experience with SQL, data warehousing and ETL processes.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI and exposure to Microsoft Fabric.
- Experience working with cloud data platforms across Azure or AWS.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines.
- Experience with additional BI tools such as Tableau or Qlik is advantageous.
- Exposure to the Microsoft Power Platform, Agile delivery and Python or R is beneficial.
- Industry experience across financial services, healthcare or retail analytics is highly regarded.
