BI Analyst
We're partnering with a leading Sydney organisation looking to bring on a BI Analyst to support reporting, insights and data quality across the business. A hands-on role working closely with internal stakeholders to turn data into decisions.
The Opportunity
- Maintain and improve the core datasets the business relies on for reporting
- Write and optimise SQL queries in Snowflake to support analysis and reporting needs
- Design, develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports and data models that drive decision making
- Run data manipulation, modelling and ad-hoc analysis in Excel for stakeholders across the business
- Surface data quality issues early and recommend practical fixes
- Keep documentation current across data sources, business logic and reporting definitions
- Use statistical techniques to find patterns, trends and relationships across the data
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on Power BI experience including report creation, visuals and DAX basics
- Solid SQL skills with experience working in Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms
- Strong Excel including pivot tables, lookups and formulas
- Sound grasp of data preparation and how well-structured data should look
- Working knowledge of Power Query and data modelling fundamentals
- Sharp analytical thinking and a hands-on approach to problem solving
- Comfortable juggling deadlines and shifting priorities
