Background
William's career began on the front line of sales. Starting out in door-to-door fundraising, he quickly progressed to a Sales Leader role, building the resilience, communication skills and drive that now underpin his approach to recruitment.
Since moving into recruitment in 2022, William has built a broad and varied background across the Sydney market. He has recruited in SaaS and technology sales, specialist medical recruitment for anesthetics and ICU consultants, and AI and machine learning. He also spent time as a Systems Integration and BI Data Implementation Consultant, giving him a first-hand understanding of the technical environments his candidates work in and the challenges his clients are solving.
Today, William focuses on AI and Software Engineering recruitment at Excolo. His approach is consultative: he understands that what works for one business rarely works the same way for another. By taking the time to understand each client's and candidate's goals, he helps everyone make an informed decision and find the right fit.
Outside of work, William is a keen scuba diver who's happiest on any dive with a shark, though he's still hunting for an elusive sea turtle. He's also an avid fan of most ball sports.
